I am Barbie and foster mom tells me I am a real doll. Just like the toy, I had several careers. I retired from racing to take on the roll of brood mom at a greyhound farm and had at least 18 puppies. Most recently, I am enjoying the full benefits of my retirement by lazing around on the fluffy dog beds in my foster home. I was a little hesitant about living in a house, but I learned how to do the stairs quickly. I love to wag my tail and as a result, I had to have part of it removed but I’m still a perfect tail wagger. I walk great on a leash and want to greet everyone I meet. I will happily share my home with large and medium dogs, but as I haven’t met any really little ones yet, I’m not sure how I feel about them.

She does very well in a multi-animal household as she loves the action.

Flower is a beautiful demure fawn colored little lady who’s quiet & gentile but also has a bit of a mischievous side to her. As reported by her foster mom “I was sure there were 5 lamb chops on the plate, but when I looked again there were just 4. I never even saw her walk by but then I heard crunch, crunch, crunch from the other room.” Don’t be mislead by this little lady’s big brown, soulful eyes…she’s full of herself. A real peach!

2 yr old Frankie injured his leg during a race but has had surgery and is all healed and ready for a forever home with a family who will let him shower them with kisses and enjoy his active effervescent 2 yr old personality. He is good with children and adults, but cats and small dogs are too much for him to handle...he thinks they are toys to be picked up and tossed around. So if your home, and your heart have room for all his love, Frankie is the guy for you.

Jace truly represents all that is beautiful in a black hound. He’s a big, stunning fellow who’s happy to be where ever you want him to be. He’s curious, fun loving and just wants to be part of the gang. He dislocated his ankle in mid March but the splint is already off and he’s beginning his rehab. In 3-4 weeks he’ll be good as new but that shouldn’t stop anyone from adopting this awesome hound.

Jill is an Irish lass. She ran 5 races in at the Cork track in Ireland before she made her way to the US. She started having puppies when she was 3 and to date has 32 that are registered racers. We think she had a litter recently so there may be more. Jill is an absolute dream girl. She takes everything in stride, loves people and settles beautifully for car rides. This girl deserves an excellent home with lots of lovin’ where she can spend her golden years.

I'm Keith and I have a long black snout, long black legs and a long black tail.

Here's what I like: having my neck scratched, shoving my head in the refrigerator, dinner time (!!!), cookies and my new bed that's not in a crate.
Here's what doesn't interest me: the cats, going up stairs, the snow.
Here's what I've learned so far: I don't get to share the people food, I can go in and out the dog door on my own (see my photo), I like having my belly rubbed and the couch is the most comfortable dog bed (but my people won't let me lie up there).

You might want to know that I'll be turning three this summer, I am the best leash walker and like to be right next to your leg, I will smile at you when you come home and that I will lie right down in the car if you want to take me with you. Also, I need more hair on my belly and rear so it will match the rest of my glossy black fur so please overlook my baldness.

Little Bear is a recent arrival from West Virginia who will be 2 yrs old in January. She’s a darling girl who LOVES humans and other dogs. She’s curious and funny and within a week in foster care was already lying upside down with all 4 feet in the air next to the resident Great Dane. She’s great in the car and leash walking is fun for her though because she’s young a fenced in yard would be beneficial for her forever home.

Miles is a gentle 11 year old who was surrendered to GRR by his terminally ill owner. He has integrated easily into his foster home, getting along well with the resident cats and other greyhound. Miles walks well on leash, roaches, knows how to sit/stay/lay down and loves making new friends - human or canine - on his daily walks. He's an all around super senior and is dreaming of a second chance at a forever home that is calm & easy going and where he won't be left home alone for long. Won't you make his dream come true?

Money is a handsome 2 1/2 year old who can adapt to any situation. He knows his name and loves toys. He sleeps thru the night in or out of his crate. Money can live as an only pet or with other Greyhounds. He would prefer a fenced in yard so he can run around, but can easily be leash walked for his exercise, though when he sees other dogs running he’d love to join them. He is a real gem and is learning more and more every day.

Patty is a funny, wiggly little girl who will be 2 yrs old in May. She's cautious in new situations, but once she feels secure, the world is her playground. She’s a silly, tail wagging girly who loves companionship and is happy to be friends with big dogs as soon as they earn her trust. She definitely has a puppy personality so exercise and fun is what this lovely hound needs in her forever home.

Rover is a beautiful large brindle male with a striking white chest. His brindle color is unusual; almost a mocha color. This laid back southern charmer has large black expressive ears and the longest tail. He has quickly adjusted to retirement. He has learned the joy of hugs and scratches and mastered the steps in one day. He interacts nicely with the resident hounds and mostly ignores the resident cat. If Rover wasn't a greyhound he would be a teddy bear. Let’s give this big boy a forever home.

She’s a bit of an energizer bunny so walks and fun are what she’ll be looking for her in forever home.
